The department of commerce and management was established by starting the B.com and BBA degree courses in 2013. Mar Osthatheos College was elevated to a first grade college by introducing the M.com course in 2020. The department offers a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary curriculum to equip the students with the skill and knowledge to compete in modern business and social world. The department is seen in moulding the students to find solutions in the challenges they face in their lives.

The department offers B.com with Computer Application and Finance and BBA with Human Resource Management as specialisation. The department also offers, M.com (finance) with International finance, Investment management, Financial Market and institution and advanced strategic fund management.

The students are provided an orientation training in the first semester of the course and career guidance in the last semester of their course. Industrial visit and study tours organised by ED clubs provided facilities for students as a first hard experience. Moreover in the final semester of both UG and PG courses. The student under take a project work as a business organisation or a social economical problem relating to the discipline to be decided by the student under supervising faulty.

The commerce Association under a vital role by providing career guidance to the student, for making their future better. The association also organises communicative English and personality development programmes.

The department is conducting remedial classes for the weaker students. Thus the department maintains a good result in university examinations.
