The Department of English is one of the prominent departments in the college started in the year 2013. With the inception of Post graduate programme (MA English Literature) it became a fully-fledged Department in 2020. The Department aims at providing value-based quality education in the field of English Literature. Our pedagogical structures attachment to develop methodology is of flexible enough to cater to students with varying academic, corporate and entrepreneurial aims.
The Department has hosted several academic programmes like Seminars, Workshops, talks and Debates led by distinguished personalities and luminaries from the varied fields of Art and Literature. We train the next generation of professors and scholars. We strive to create a more inclusive and representative class of higher educational professionals.
The Department of Commerce was established in Mar Osthatheos College in the year 2013. The department started functioning with the two- UG programme – B Com (Computer application) and BBA (Human Resource Management). In 2020, the Department has elevated to Postgraduate Department with the commencement of a Post Graduate Course – M. Com in Finance. In 2021 B. Com Finance was started.
The objective of our department is to groom students to cope up with the new challenging Commerce World. We provide a dynamic learning environment to its students to pursue excellence, gain knowledge and acquire skills to achieve their goals. Department offers academic excellence in the areas of financing, management and computer application. Over the years around 800 students graduated from the department at the UG level and 30 approximately from PG batches (M Com).
Since its establishment in 2014, the Department of Computer Applications has been dedicated to provide an excellent coaching to prospective graduates.
The department has been endowed with a group of competent, and passionate academic members that are committed to sharing their extensive experience and current understanding of computer science and applications trends. The department supports students' participation in extracurricular activities in addition to their academic programme.
In order to give students, the essential and adequate practical expertise to support the manifestation of their innovative ideas, the department maintains a state-of-the-art, fully functional computer laboratory availing 29 computers with advanced software programming and Open-Source Technologies.
The department hosts expert presentations, lectures, and demonstrations. Occasionally, speakers from a variety of technical fields are invited to update the students on the most recent advancements in their field. Faculty members are encouraged to participate in seminars and workshops in a variety of subjects as part of the faculty empowerment initiative.
Each year, we provide industrial trips and internships to help students become ready for future employment prospects.
